Safety First

We want to make sure that the event is a safe and memorable event so we have put together some safety measures to ensure that we all make it through the ride safe and home at the end of the day (or the next morning).

For The Ride
We have secured a truck and trailer that will follow the riders in case we experience any flats or other mechanical failures.  This will allow us to trailer your bike through the ride so that the ride as a whole will not be impacted while we wait for help to arrive. We will also have several 5 gallon cans of gas in the event someone misjudges their full capacity.  As we get closer to the date, we will post a phone number that will get you in touch with the driver of that vehicle.

For After The Ride
We also want to make sure that we are not promoting drinking and riding/driving.  The day will be long and emotions will without a doubt be on the high side.  This will be even more enhanced with the addition of alcohol and socialization at Churchill's after the ride.

Alicia has graciously offered her home as a crash pad in the event that there are people who are unable to drive/ride home at the end of the night.  Please see THIS THREAD on the forum where Alicia has posted her offering.

The Weather

The current expectation of the weather on our ride can be found below.  I looked at the forecasted weather for Saturday in the areas that we will either be in, ride through or ride near to try and set some expectations for you on the weather.

Please keep in mind that we will be riding through the mountains and the temperatures may actually feel cooler with the breeze created when riding.  You can dress in layers and we will have a follow vehicle that we can put our stuff into if we get too warm.
